Lake Travis Elementary is proud to be a Leader In Me school. Leader in Me is a whole school improvement-based process based on the idea that everyone can be a leader. This evidence based approach empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st Century. We focus on developing the whole child by:

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is one of the key frameworks of the Leader in Me process. In addition to helping students learn and apply leadership skills, the 7 Habits give us a common language in building a supportive emotional environment.
We invite families and community partners to join us in our school mission to embrace and empower all with respect, love and leadership at Lake Travis Elementary.
LTE School-Wide Student Leadership Roles
In 2023-2024, PreK-2nd graders will get comfortable becoming CEO of self and applying for classroom leadership roles. Grades 3-5 will be allowed to apply for school-wide leadership roles in addition to their classroom leadership roles. More information about specific leadership roles will be coming soon!

Habit 7 - Sharpen the Saw

All students, grades Pre-K through 5th Grade are learning the meaning and the language of the 7 Habits and how they can integrate these Habits into their daily lives.
